The Daegu Catholic University Korean Language Institute is pleased to hold the 「My DCU Life」 Video Contest
in celebration of the 100th Anniversary of Hangeul Day in 2026.
Share your own story about life in Korea, campus life at DCU, learning Korean, or experiencing Korean culture through
a creative video.
We look forward to your interest and participation!
1. Contest Overview
- Eligibility: Students currently enrolled in the Korean Language Program at Daegu Catholic University Korean Language Institute
- Submission Period: September 1 (Tue) – October 5 (Mon), 2026
- Entry Type: Individual / One entry per person
2. Contest Theme
Create a video that freely expresses your experience as an international student in Korea.
Examples include
- - My campus life at Daegu Catholic University
- - Daily life and student life in Korea
- - My experience learning Korean
- - Experiencing Korean culture
- - Introducing Daegu Catholic University to future international students
3. Video Requirements
- Length: Up to 3 minutes
- Aspect Ratio: 16:9 landscape
- Format: Any format, such as V-LOG, interview, or parody
- Language: The main language of the video must be Korean
- Subtitles in your native language are allowed.
- Resolution: Full HD (1920×1080) or higher is recommended.
4. How to Apply and Submit
Complete the application and provide your video information through the Google Form, then submit your video
using one of the following methods

- - A public or unlisted YouTube video link
- - A Google Drive or other shared link that can be accessed by the contest staff
※ Please make sure that your video link remains accessible throughout the judging period.
5. Awards
- Grand Prize: 1 winner / KRW 300,000
- Excellence Prize: 2 winners / KRW 200,000 each
- Encouragement Prize: 5 winners / KRW 100,000 each
※ The number of winners may be adjusted depending on the number and quality of submissions.
6. Schedule
- Submission Period: September 1 – October 5, 2026
- Judging Period: October 6 – October 16, 2026
- Result Announcement: October 19, 2026 (scheduled)
- Award Ceremony: October 2026 (scheduled)
7. Important Notes
- - All submitted videos must be original works created by the participant.
- - Participants must ensure that their videos do not infringe on any third-party rights, including copyrights and portrait rights.
- - Entries that do not meet the required video format or submission guidelines may be excluded from judging.
- - Winning entries may be used for online and offline promotional materials of Daegu Catholic University and the Korean Language Institute.
